Weaver: The Kervanian Chronicles Book 1

Weaver by Katherine Arandez ★★★☆☆

I think the story was really good, and i really enjoyed the plot line but it was really hard for me the follow sometimes.

I can’t trash the writing because i’m not a native english speaker, so it might just be my lack of fluency. But i think the descriptions were very long but the events were sometimes too vague. - In the beginning it might be hard to get the references but it gets clearer as the story progresses-

But, like i said, i liked the story, especially through the end, with Alaya and the kids, it gets really funny.

Also, i’m happy that even though the characters are mostly teenagers (or children? adolescents? well, they are young), the main focus of the book is not love and cute boys and i’m weird but i find love in the end. There is an actual story with a plot to follow to. Because, i have to admit i was worried it was going to be some high school teenage love story, because even though they’re great, i think when you’re in your twenties (or at least for me), it gets kind of boring.

The end of the book was really exciting (no spoilers but there will be a cliffhanger and it will be great).

The author is very young, so i’m very impressed that she could write such a story, but i definitely recommend this book if you’re into fantasy genre, because i think the series will be worth following.
