Weaver: The Kervanian Chronicles Book 1

Weaver is not yet published as far as I’m aware, but keep up! It might get out soon! :)

Kathrine contacted me and asked if I would like to review it. I accepted the challenge, even though this book is far away from my genre.

The genre is Sci-Fi, adventure something something :) When I started reading I had pictures like Minecraft, Portal, Harry Potter, The Hobbit and more in that family in my mind. That might give you an idea :)

The story started out really good! I was really curious what was happening with these three siblings. I was surprised by the well written part, no offense but Kathrine isn’t a writer I’ve ever heard of, and it’s probably her first book. And if I’m not being wrong I think she’s under 20. So I was gladly surprised!

When I came to the middle of the book I got lost. For some reason I didn’t have that “I-can’t-leave-this-book”-feeling and then I spend too much time reading the book, which also confused me. There’s a lot of characters in the story, and the point of view changes during the story. I think it works out, but because I got distracted I got easily confused. So when I picked up the book I couldn’t find out who was who. It was sad, but I think it’s kinda my own fault.

I like the little… getting the author into the story .. in the ending :D First I thought it was a coincidence, but when the last name it was clear! Well made Kathrine, it worked really well! :)

Weaver is the first part of more, and I’m feeling a bit left without all questions answered. I guess the sequels will follow up on that :)

Overall it was a fine book. I’m not going to give it stars, because it wouldn’t be fair of me, since I’m not strong in this genre :)

Even though English is not my main language I got through it, and it wasn’t that hard to read. I had a bit trouble in the beginning, but with a boyfriend playing a lot League of Legends etc. he could help me with some of the stuff eg. a Mage :) And fast I picked it up, since I do have a little knowledge on that part!

Personal message to Kathrine: Let me know when it’s getting published! I really want a signed version on my wall! And of course I’m now obliged to reading the sequels! (and I’ll really try doing a better job to finish it faster) :)
